Katahdin Hair Sheep

Katahdin Hair Sheep
THEY NEVER NEED SHEARED!!!

Katahdin Sheep are a breed of "hair sheep" that don't need to be sheared and are known for their mild tasting meat.
Our ram and two of our ewes are registered with Katahdin Hair Sheep International (KHSI).
We will be continually upgrading our flock by crossing our ram with good quality commercial ewes.
Our Ram is RR. "R" represents "resistant" to SCRAPIE. We are working on making our herd all at least QR.
They are very hearty and we are very pleased with the way the lambs grow with very little maintenance or feed.
They pasture well with cows and horses.
